Other computers can't open Ledger Doctor
Work through these in order.
1. Is it running on the server?
On the Ledger Doctor server, open http://localhost:47474 (or your port). If that doesn't load either, see The page won't load or the service won't start.
2. The address
From other computers, use the server's name and port, like http://GPAPP01:47474. Setup shows the exact address at the end. It's plain http, not https.
3. Windows Firewall
Setup adds a Windows Firewall rule for the port:
- On a server joined to a Windows domain, for the domain network only.
- On a server that isn't on a domain (a workgroup server), for private networks too.
It's never opened on public networks. If the server's network is set to Public, other computers can't reach the port: ask IT to set it to Private, or to add a rule. A firewall between offices, or on the network itself, needs the port allowed too.
4. A password prompt
Ledger Doctor signs people in with Windows automatically when the browser treats the server as part of the Local intranet zone. Single-label names like GPAPP01 usually are; full names like gpapp01.company.local or IP addresses usually aren't. Use the short name, or ask IT to add http://SERVERNAME to the Local intranet zone by Group Policy. If a prompt does appear, your Windows user name and password work, but a prompt means the zone isn't set.
