Windows says "unknown publisher"

Ledger Doctor isn't code-signed yet, so the first time you run LedgerDoctor.Service.exe, Windows SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC" with an unknown publisher.

  1. Make sure the file came from our download page.
  2. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Choose Yes when Windows asks to allow changes.

Your company's security software may also hold the file for a scan. Ask IT to allow it if it does.

Updates installed with Install update now don't show this: they're checked against our own signature on the server before they're installed. See Update Ledger Doctor.
