Blockers report

When something is in the way of the move, the Blockers report tab lists it for the customer: problems in GP to fix, and decisions only they can make. They see it on the Migration page of their Ledger Doctor, with links into it, and their answers come back here.

About 50 seconds, narrated, with captions. Sample company, made-up data.

Build it

Choose Build from the latest package. The report starts from what the customer's package says:

  • Problems in GP to fix: each of Ledger Doctor's findings in the company (from its latest scan), with how many records, what to do, and whether its issue page has a one-click fix or a guide. Warnings start unticked, since a company can have dozens: tick the ones in the way. Problems with GP's balances on the start date (from the opening balance request) are listed too.
  • Decisions only the customer can make, with their choices: how much GL history moves, when Sage Intacct takes over (if you haven't set them yet), and whether inactive customers and vendors move.

The findings need the customer on Ledger Doctor 0.31.0 or later; from an older version the report starts from their migration assessment's findings, without links.

Edit it

Change any item's title and words, or a decision's choices (one per line). Untick an item to leave it out. Add a problem and Add a decision add your own. A note at the top goes above the list. Choose Save. Refresh from the latest package adds what's new and drops what's been fixed, and keeps your changes and your own items.

Send it

An approver for the customer chooses Send to the customer and confirms. It's encrypted for the customer's Ledger Doctor only and relayed by myledgerdoctor.com, which can't read it; it's sent only for a company a paid project covers. Each send is a revision: a sent revision stays as it was, and changing it starts the next one. Sending is in the security log.

Their answers

On their Migration page, the customer's processors mark problems done and their approvers answer the decisions. Each answer shows on its item here, with who and when, and whoever sent the report gets an email (turn it off in My preferences). Download PDF makes a copy, with the answers so far, to email.

When the customer marks a problem done but the latest package they sent still has records for it, the item says "Ledger Doctor still finds N records", with the package's date, here and in the PDF. It counts from what the package already carries; nothing more is asked of the customer.

The report is stored encrypted in your workspace, like the customer's packages.
