Help for each screen

How do I…?
Ask how to do something in the partner application with How do I…?, at the top of every page and at its foot.
- The answer comes only from this partner help center, with links to the pages it used. Check the page before you change anything.
- Only your question is sent, with your partner license key. Nothing about your customers goes.
- Your partner license has 50 answers a month, counted on their own. The help center itself is always open.
- It needs your partner license key in Settings. There's nothing else to turn on.
Getting a partner account
Ask for one with the partner request form. We read every request and reply by email, usually within a business day. When it's approved, the email has your partner code and a link, good for 3 days, that shows your partner license key once. Copy the key into your password manager.
Lost the key, or the link expired? Get a new key with the email address on your partner account.
Downloading and installing the partner app
Download it at api.myledgerdoctor.com/partner/download with your partner license key, then follow Install the partner application. It updates itself after that.
Connecting a customer
- Give the customer your partner code. They need their own Ledger Doctor license.
- On the Migration page of their Ledger Doctor, an approver enters your code for each GP company they're moving.
- In the partner app, open Customers and accept each request.
Once accepted, each company sends its quoting summary: its name, how many GL accounts, vendors and customers it has, its years of GL history, the modules in use and a few account numbers (so you can see how many segments the account format has). That's all you receive until a project covers the company. The summaries are on the Buying page.
Buying a customer project
- On Buying, tick the customer's GP companies for the project and choose Propose these companies.
- The customer sees your proposal on the Migration page in their Ledger Doctor, with exactly what data goes to you once it's paid for. An approver confirms it, or sends it back with a note you'll see on Buying. Change the companies and propose again if they do.
- When it's confirmed, choose Pay. You pay by card on myledgerdoctor.com: $3,500 for the project, which covers up to 3 companies, plus $1,000 for each company after the third.
- The companies unlock right away. Their full data reaches the partner app at the customer's next check-in, usually within 15 minutes, and the customer page opens for mapping.
Stripe emails the receipt. For a W-9, email billing@myledgerdoctor.com.
Adding a company later
Tick it on Buying and choose Update the companies; the customer confirms the new one. If the project has room in what's paid for (a project covers 3 companies), it's covered at once. If not, it's $1,000. A covered company stays in its project.
Refunds
A project bought is a commitment to its fee, and payments aren't refunded, including when a migration is delayed or doesn't go ahead. A project never expires, so it's there when the customer is ready. See the partner terms.
Who can buy
In the partner app, anyone with the Approver role for a customer can propose its companies and pay. Admins give roles on the Security page.
