Start a trial
Go to api.myledgerdoctor.com/trial and enter your name, work email and company. No card is needed. The next page shows your license key once, so copy it to your password manager, and has the download button. Then install Ledger Doctor as usual; setup asks for the key.
The trial is everything: the full Close plan (checks, fixes, tie-outs, the close checklist, reconciliations, flux, the bank tie-out, and Teams and Slack) and the Controls add-on (journal entry review and payables fraud signals). Features marked Close plan or Controls aren't in Essentials, so you can see what each includes. A banner on every page shows how many days are left, with buttons to buy the Full package, Close, Essentials + Controls or Essentials.
One trial per GP SQL Server
Each GP SQL Server gets one free trial. Ledger Doctor tells our server which SQL Server it's on as a one-way code made from the server's name and its GP system database; the names themselves never leave your network. Reinstalling Ledger Doctor or using a new email doesn't start a new trial on the same server. If you need more time to finish an evaluation, email support@myledgerdoctor.com and we can extend it.
When it ends
On the last day, Ledger Doctor becomes view only. Everything it already found stays there to read: the dashboard, issues, close history and reconciliations. It stops running new scans, fixes, tie-outs and sign-offs, and every page says Your free trial ended, with the buy buttons. Nothing is deleted, and your GP data is never changed by the trial ending. The trial ends on its date even if the server can't reach the internet.
Buy from the trial
Use Buy Close or Buy Essentials on the banner in Ledger Doctor. After you pay, your trial key becomes your paid key: there's nothing to reinstall and setup doesn't need to run again. Ledger Doctor picks up the new plan within a few minutes, and everything you did during the trial is still there.
If you buy Essentials, the reconciliations and flux you did during the trial stay in the database but aren't shown until you upgrade to Close.
