What each plan includes

Essentials covers the health checks, one-click fixes, the AP, AR, Fixed Assets and trial balance tie-outs, the close checklist, close history and binder, and the daily email.

Close adds these, each marked with a Close plan label in Ledger Doctor:

Controls is an add-on to either plan (Essentials + Controls, or the Full package with Close). It's for the controller and your auditors, and each page carries a Controls label:

  • Journal entry review: manual entries scored for what auditors look for
  • Payables fraud signals: possible duplicate invoices and payments soon after a vendor's bank or remit-to details changed
  • GP access review: who can do what in GP, duties one person shouldn't hold together, and a signed quarterly review
  • Auditor requests: your auditor's request list, with owners, due dates, answers and files, downloaded for the auditor in one zip

On Essentials

The Reconciliations and Flux pages describe the feature and show an Upgrade to Close button instead of their contents. The bank tie-out button is turned off, and the all-in-one tie-out workbook has a Bank (Close plan) sheet saying so instead of the bank tie-out. The Teams and Slack section of Settings is replaced by a note; the daily email keeps working.

Without Controls, the Journal entry review, Payables fraud signals, GP access review and Auditor requests pages describe the feature and show an Add Controls button. Adding it charges the difference for the rest of your term, and keeps whatever plan you're on.

During a free trial you have everything, and the labels show what Essentials wouldn't include.
